We visited Bangkok so many times, it started to feel like home after a while. We were there onn four different occasions. If you are like us – young couple on a reasonable budget but still wanting to get a bit of sleep at nights – then we recommend you look into Amarin Inn for your Bangkok stay.
We paid $22 USD for a private double room with TV, A/C and private bathroom. It’s not on the Khao San road which means you’re not going to get killed by all the noise and insanity that being on the main strip brings. But it’s just a bit up the street from it so you won’t be missing out if you want to see what all the madness is about.
The one trick about this hostel is it’s in a bit of an odd location. When you go there, you need to slip down a very narrow alleyway before you see it. You will NOT see it from the road so instead of looking for a building, look for a very narrow alley instead. Other than that, we highly recommend the place and enjoyed it a lot more than our stay at Fortville guesthouse.
