Hue: Jade Hotel

The Jade Hotel is a newcomer to the scene in the ancient capital of Hue. It is located in the core of downtown Hue, within easy walking distance of the Citadel as well as lots of eating options. Being a new hotel means that management is eager to please. When we arrived we were greeted with tea and a plate of fresh mango. After leaving, a personal email was sent to us asking for feedback and ways to improve. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. They are clearly trying hard to impress and it’s working.

The room we stayed in was quite nice. Double bed with hot shower, including wifi in the room and, although not needed in January, A/C. When we arrived the room was made up with petals and a rose which was an unexpected touch for a basic hotel room. For $14 a night including breakfast, it was good value. If you are in Hue, I would strongly recommend The Jade Hotel. You won’t be disappointed.
