We stayed for 3 nights in the Thanh Van 2 Hotel in Hoi An in a standard double bed room. The room included complementary umbrellas (something we really needed since it was very wet in Hoi An at the time we were there), A/C, complementary bicycles (again, not used due to the weather) and internet in the room via cable (no wifi in the room but downstairs in the lobby). We paid $73 for the three nights which was a bit pricey for us.
The hotel is located a good 15 minute walk out of town but has a shuttle that can take you closer to town for free. We never used it however since it was an easy walk into town and we usually didn’t feel like waiting (the bus was every 30 minutes). The hotel does have what looked like a good pool but again, because it rained pretty much every day we were there and it was cold to boot, we had to skip.
The included breakfast had bread, muffins, juices and omelette. This was probably one of the better parts of the stay.
The staff were friendly but I wouldn’t say stellar. We did use their recommended bus to move on to Hue which wasn’t bad but not ideal as it didn’t drop us off in downtown Hue. I would look around for another bus that would drop you closer to the downtown core if you moving onto Hue.
I can’t strongly recommend the Thanh Van 2 hotel. It wasn’t that conveniently located or particularly cheap. If I were to return to Hoi An, I would probably look for another option instead of returning.
